Review: Fangirl Down

Wow, this one definitely is going to leave me with a book hangover. Tessa Bailey knows how to have you laughing, swooning, and talking out loud to a book all at the same time.

Josephine is Wells’ biggest fan. Wells is his own worst enemy. Initially, Wells wants to hate that he can’t quite hate Josephine, which causes him to hurt her in the beginning. Events come together that has these two teaming up for Wells’ attempt at a comeback in a sport that he has lost his passion for, and boy do the sparks fly! There was a lot of emotional growth and healing that took place for both Wells and Josephine. Along their journey, I totally swooned at their connection. If you take a step back and examine things from a more critical eye, it essentially is a bit of an insta love situation. BUT, if you let yourself be swept into the magic happening between these two on the page, you realize that their situation was like a relationship pressure cooker. There is substance to their interactions, and support and acceptance behind their words and actions. Frankly, I would have rioted if they hadn’t fallen for each other.

I listened to the audio version of this, with Callie Dalton narrating both pov’s. While I normally prefer for a dual narration when there are a male and female perspective, she did a great job carrying the story.I don’t care which format you get this book in, just get it and let the feels take you away!
