Narrated In Duet: Jason Clarke & Erin Mallon

4.5/5 ⭐️ 3/5🌶

This was a classic Meghan Quinn rom-com that I really enjoyed. It was a little outrageous in some parts and had me genuinely snort laughing in others.

The interactions and dynamic between Brody and Maggie before they “bow chika wowed” were incredibly antagonistic. The fact that Brody had carried a torch for Maggie all this time but manages to treat her the way he does before exposing his feelings is a bit troubling. I think he deserved a lot of the chaos that went down when he was in Bora Bora and then some.

Maggie was a total girl boss, doing whatever needed to get the job done. I loved her take no prisoners attitude and how she clapped back at Brody. I also really liked her integrity.

And can we please talk about Maggie’s brother Gary!? Omg, this guy needs to be a real live person, and we need to protect him at all costs, lol. Gar-bear truly was a much needed character in this story. The way he coddled Brody and supported Maggie was awesome.

I’m totally loving the Hoppers (the Bay area’s answer to the SoCal Kane brothers). I can’t wait to get Hardy’s story next. Actually, I’d really like a prequel and find out more about Jude and Hazley.

I absolutely loved this book in audio format. It was narrated in duet by Jason Clarke (sploosh!) and Erin Mallon. These two worked seamlessly together in their duet performance. Whether they were reading a scene that called for Maggie and Brody verbally going to war or them working out their frustrations in a more NSFW way – I was HERE for it! I couldn’t push pause on this audiobook, and I blame Meghan, Erin, and Jason for the lack of sleep I got over the past 2 nights listening. #NoRegrets!
