Wow, this book was SO enjoyable to listen to! I have been anticipating Noelle’s story since the first book, and I was not disappointed in how it turned out. She, more than any of the other “Ladies Who Brunch”, wanted to find her special person and start a family. Unfortunately, she kept getting duds when it came to the dating game and she was the last single girl in the group.

After she decided to take matters into her own hands, she got pregnant via sperm donor and had her daughter Scarlett. Even though she loved her more than anything, she realized that she hadn’t been prepared for life as a single mom and was drowning.

Pilot Grant has also always wanted to be a father but, due to a big curve ball thrown at him in his mid 20s, he doesn’t think it will ever happen for him. He has all but given up on dating when he bumps into Noelle and Scarlett at a coffee shop. Their meet cute was pretty great!

I loved Grant for Noelle and how he cared for her daughter. He was such a great guy and almost too perfect. I can understand why Noelle felt things were almost too good to be true, I’d feel the same way if I met Grant irl. I’m not even a mother, but I swooned hard for how seen he made Noelle feel at times.

There was a minor third act breakup, but it was resolved in such a mature and positive way, I wasn’t even upset about it. The family members and friends in this book were very well developed and truly enhanced the story.

Connor Crais and CJ Bloom did a wonderful job narrating this book. CJ was a perfect casting for Noelle, capturing her quirky yet at times no nonsense personality. Connor definitely captured Grant’s grown man swag lol.

I’m sad to see the series coming to an end, with just Jeffrey’s book left, but I’m so happy to have read about these ladies!
