Review: Walk of Shame

This was a really cute story. I liked that it was a visit back to Ice Knights territory. While, they did work for a hockey team, the story was more hockey adjacent than an actual sports romance.

Cal and Astrid, for their own traumatic reasons, are two relationship averse very autonomous individuals. They happen to meet one night at a bar and decide to have a one night stand. Little do they know, they will be seeing each other at every turn and staying out of bed with each other will prove difficult.

I kinda feel like there wasn’t as much authentic character growth for these two during the story. Rather, it was kind of like a sudden light bulb moment where they realize they’re in love and then don’t know how to process those feelings.

Overall, it was a very enjoyable story. I listened on audio and really liked the narrators chosen for the main characters – Robert Hatchet & Savannah Peachwood.
