OMG, I knew Ace & Hadley’s book would be fire, but I didn’t realize just how EXPLOSIVE it would be! Hadley has always been a fun character since book one, but I really loved seeing her vulnerable side and getting her inner thoughts and feelings. Don’t even get me started on Ace… sigh, Atticus Fox can get it! Talk about still waters running deep – this man has been OBSESSED with our girl Hadley for years, though you would never have known it. The tension between them was so intense… both wanting each other, but never wanting to show their hand. And the spicey scenes between these two definitely packed a punch on the fiction scoville scale – I’d love to trade places with Hadley when drinking my favorite bourbon *wink wink*.

Speaking of spice spicing, Sean Masters and Victoria Connolly gave an ah-mazing performance narrating Ace and Hadley. Duet narration will always be my preference, and this did not disappoint. I could listen to Sean saying “Sugar” all day long. Victoria really captured Hadley’s playful nature, especially when teasing Ace with his secretly favorite word, “Daddy”.

Like in the previous two books, the suspense really picked up in the last third of the book. I was positively giddy to see one particular bad guy finally get what was coming to him. And can we just take a moment to toast Griz for his happy ending! I love how this series wrapped up, I’m sad it’s ending, but this book ticked every box for me as a series ender. I will definitely be revisiting these audiobooks again and again.
